Studio D'Artisan
Founded in 1979 by Shigeharu Tagaki, Studio D’Artisan was the original member of the Osaka 5 and played a crucial role in the growth of the Japanese denim industry. After working in France for years, he came back to Japan wanting to integrate the best parts of European design with the high level of skill he knew that Japanese artisans were capable of producing. The first of the esteemed Osaka 5, Studio D’Artisan has been at the forefront of Japanese denim since the late 70s and is one of the most influential names in the industry.
